A lot has happened with our family these last few months. We just moved into our dream house a couple of months ago (no that is not really it) and it has been wonderful. It is right across the street from a couple of lakes, it is a lot bigger than the old house and it is closer to my parents' house. It is actually in the neighborhood I grew up in, so I feel like I am back home and it is nice. Garth has started his last year of pharmacy school (do you hear that too, or is it just me that hears the angels singing?) He is in Abilene for the next few weeks for his first rotation. We miss him, but the time is going by very fast, so I think we will make it.
Garth Le is a little fish. The house we moved into has a hot tub and he has been swimming in it since we moved in and last week my in-laws got their swimming pool ready for the summer and Garth Le has not looked back. Last summer, he couldn't touch the bottom in the shallow end and breathe at the same time, and this year his shoulders come out of the water, even after a heavy rain made the pool VERY full. He swims without floaties and he jumps off the diving board and he is working on diving. I cannot believe my 3 year old is such a swimmer, I am very proud of him. He will be starting school this fall and I am excited about that, sort of, I go between being really sad that he is growing up so fast to being really excited to see what the future holds for this special little boy. The other day when we were swimming, Garth Le backed up to the side of the pool for a rest, put both arms on the side and leaned his head back on the side and said "Ahh, this is the life", and I'd have to agree.
I was in the ER for a few months (working, not patronizing) and I just loved it. It was very exciting and I really felt like I was helping people. The people I worked with were awesome and we were all really sad to see me go, but I decided to take a management position at a new long term acute care hospital that is a part of the Covenant system. I got a great going away gift from the ER, we delivered twins in the ER my last day there, it was awesome! It was really a mess when I got here (CSH) about 2 months ago, but I am so excited and I love the job more than I ever thought I would. The people here are great, especially my technicians. Dedra and Edana kept this place going for quite a while without a regular pharmacist. I am so glad to have them.
Pretty much that is what is going on, we are going to Dallas this weekend to go to SixFlags and Hurricane Harbor and a Ranger game with Garth Le. It has been well over 100 degrees the last few days and it doesn't seem to be letting up, so we figure if we are going to be miserable anyways, we may as well be miserable at an amusement park. I hope to remember the camera and I will post pictures when we get back.

Have fun in Dallas... does this mean our little July trip is off?
Hey Brooke, it's Torrie. I saw your blog link on Liza's so I clicked on over. We were just in Lubbock on Saturday helping my brother move and we got to meet Spencer and his family.
I'm glad you have a blog. It's fun to keep up on what people are up to!
